The YMCA offers a whole host of aerobic programs to meet every individual need. Group exercise and fitness classes are available to YMCA
    members and  guests ages 10 and over. Athletic shoes, proper clothing, and towels are required. A current schedule and description of classes is
    posted in the Fitness Studio and available at the Customer Service area. Most aerobic classes follow the same basic format, including warm-up; 30 -
    40 minutes of aerobic activity;cool down; muscle toning; and stretching.  All group fitness classes are designed so participants may do either low
    impact or high impact in any class.  

The DeBary/Orange City Family YMCA GROUP FITNESS center offers a variety of Group Fitness (aerobic) classes to meet every individual need. These

A series of mat exercises to strengthen your core muscles while improving flexibility, posture, balance and overall well-being. All fitness levels.

Yoga – FRI 5:30 p.m.–6:30 p.m.
A class designed with relaxation and breathing techniques to help develop flexibility and strength. All fitness levels.

Step & Tone – MON & WED 4:30 p.m.–5:30 p.m.
Awesome class with a step for a total body workout without the high impact of cardio, see schedule for more details on class description. All fitness levels.

Body Sculpting - MON 5:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m.; SAT 8:30 a.m.–9:30 a.m.
Tone and tighten your entire body with hand held weights, resistance bands, bars, and more. All fitness levels.

Kickboxing – MON & WED 6:30 pm- 7:30 p.m.
A class filled with diverse moves of kicks, punches, squats and much more. All fitness levels.

Super Step – TUES & THUR 6:00 pm – 7:30 p.m.
This is a 90 minute class designed with high tempo aerobic step exercise.

Stretch & Strength – MON, WED, & FRI 8:30 a.m.–9:30 a.m.
A class formatted with easy listening music that will give you a relaxing & re-energized workout. All fitness levels.

Cardio Plus – MON 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.     TUES & THUR 9:00 a.m.–10:00 a.m.
A class designed with 20 minute intervals, 20- minute cardio, 20-minute strength training and 20- minutes floor exercises. Beginners to intermediate.

AM High/Low Aerobics - (formerly Morning Pump)  MON & FRI 7:30 a.m.-8:30 a.m.
A 60-minute class designed ti wake you up with muscular conditioning and a beginning aerobic work out.  All fitness levels are welcome!

Total Body Work-Out – MON 10:30 a.m.–11:30 a.m. FRI 4:30 p.m-5:30 p.m.
A class designed to work all major muscle groups while elevating the heart rate, using bands, stability ball, bars, etc. All fitness levels.

Boot Camp – WED 7:30 p.m.–9:00 p.m.
“Be all you can be” with hi/lo explosive cardio and core workout. Great results in a fun class! All fitness levels.

Zumba – MON 7:30 p.m. - 8:55 p.m.; FRI 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.; EOE - SAT 10:00 a.m. -11:00 a.m.
A fusion of Latin and International music/dance themes creating a dynamic, exciting & effective fitness system that tones the entire body. Dance away your
worries!
BEGINNING IN MAY... Zumba will be held on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. and every Saturday!

Silver Sneakers –TUES & THURS 8:00 a.m.–8:45 a.m./10:30 a.m.–11:15 a.m.; WED & FRI 9:30 a.m.–10:15 a.m.
Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercise designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living skills; using
hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a ball for resistance; and a chair is used
for seated/or standing support.


BODY COMPOSITION ANALYSIS
The DeBary/Orange City Family YMCA is conducting Body Composition Analysis with a Tanita scale, which is 99.9% accurate. This test will determine what
percentage of your body is fat mass verse lean muscle tissue. It will help you set a goal.  The only clothing you remove is your socks and your shoes.

ORIENTATIONS
Trained staff conducts orientations for new members who need the extra help to implement a workout program and to be shown how to use the equipment
properly and safely.

TEEN STRENGTH TRAINING PROGRAM
This is a program for 12-15 year old girls and boys who want to learn the proper techniques of exercising. Each individual will
learn how to use Circuit training machines, plate loaded machines, free weights, cardio equipment and learn how to incorporate
them into their workout. Components of the course will include classroom time, where muscle anatomy, basic nutrition and
exercise theories will be taught. Each session lasts for four weeks. At the end of the class participants must pass a written test,
with a score of 75% or better, before utilizing the fitness center. Upon completion, & passing the test, a parent must be on the
premises for their children to use the fitness center. A certified personal trainer will be teaching the classes. Each monthly session is comprised of 2 classes
weekly for 4 weeks (8 lessons). Participants must wear proper exercise clothing and bring a towel.
